To all the women who think that they are not good enough – you are.
To all the women who think they are useless and unworthy – you are valued.
To all the women who think they are ugly – you are beautiful.
To all the women who think that they are unlovable – you are loved.
To all the women who think they are never enough – you are. So much more so than you can ever realise.
This International Women’s Day, it doesn’t matter whether you are a mother, a scientist, an office worker, an explorer, or just starting on your journey in life, thank you. Thank you for being the mothers, friends, wives, sisters that we all need in our life.
A life without women is inconceivable. We may live in a man’s world, but it is women who hold life inside them. It is they who break down the barriers and build friendships that traverse not only mental and physical walls between people, but also last through time. It is they who become our chosen family – the ones who never need an explanation, they are just there.
The world is a better place for the strong, determined woman, who follows her own dreams and have empathy for others. Whether they run their own business, are stay-at-home mums, raising a family of fierce, beautiful children, or work in the local shop, bringing joy to someone’s life – thank you.
To all the women, who get up each day and make other peoples’ lives run smoothly – thank you. To all those women who are part of my own life – I love you and appreciate you so much.
