A break from writing today as we headed to Lysekil A break from writing today as we headed to Lysekil for a lovely lunch @wolffs_kitchen before heading home. There may be fika later, with traditional Swedish selma, before lighting the wood burners and getting cosy for the evening. Tonight will be real feel -15!
Happy Lunar New Year! We finally leave that tricks Happy Lunar New Year! We finally leave that tricksy snake behind and enter the forward-moving Year of the Horse. Not only that, but it is a Fire Horse - and I'm a Fire Dragon, so I am hoping for some extra energy this year! How will you celebrate tonight? Will you have Chinese or will you observe Shrove Tuesday and have pancakes? I do find it interesting that three different cultures celebrate today - Shrove Tuesday, Lunar New Year, and the start of Ramadan. Whichever you follow, have a wonderful day and evening! Samantha xx

We will never know, as we kept on walking through the icy winds to find comfort through steaming hot chocolate and cake. The stairs will be there for another day...

I always enjoy having greenery in my office bit it can be a challenge to be cat friendly - this money tree has flourished, and I think my little ginger bear looks very majestic through its vibrant leaves. And yes! That is blue sky outside! Rather rare this winter...
Yesterday was a milestone reached as I turned 50. Yesterday was a milestone reached as I turned 50. I am now officially middle aged and I spent the evening surrounded by some of my nearest and dearest family and friends. I am feeling so blessed - and excited for what comes next as I start the next chapter of my life. Thank you to all who have made these last few days so incredibly special 🧡
