Sandstorm – add extra heat to your summer

by Samantha Mattocksupdated on July 1, 2022June 13, 2022 Leave a Comment on Sandstorm – add extra heat to your summer

I am loving my new promo images for Sandstorm! While I am all for the beach read – and that is the most common feedback on Sandstorm, that it is a perfect beach read – I love this evocative image of the desert and how it ties in with Sandstorm. What do you think? Have …

Return to the blue bar…

by Samantha Mattocksupdated on April 11, 2022April 11, 2022 Leave a Comment on Return to the blue bar…

In March, I returned to Dubai and the Novotel World Trade Centre – the scene for many an escapade within Sandstorm, and also home to the legendary blue bar. It felt great to be back in a place that inspired me so much, and is also the setting for one of the raunchiest scenes in …

Thank you so much for this wonderful review @littl Thank you so much for this wonderful review @littlemissbooklover87

Posted @withregram β€’ @littlemissbooklover87 Delightful, enchanting and completely magical.

Who doesn’t love a story about a cute little cat? This has been a book full of vibrant and fun illustrations and a gorgeous story fills the pages.

It is impossible to dislike Mr Mishkins. This has been fun, spreads a message about helping others and is engaging.

This is a fantastic read which really shows that everyone has individual circumstances and kindness is something that should be spread because it can make such a difference.

Although this is a book for the littles, this is a vital message and one that is so relevant to current events.

Definitely recommend this one.

I am getting ready to head home after attending th I am getting ready to head home after attending the brilliant Self-Publishing Conference from @troubador_publishing

It was an inspiring day, and it was great to meet local authors @katefranceswrites & @suzykquinn - the latter giving a fantastic keynote speech.

Also of note was the talk by @debbieyoungauthor for @jerichowriters - some bits of which keep going around my head in a loop this morning.

I stayed in @vocoleicester and, being opposite @leicestertigers I thought this wallpaper was rather fitting. Plus, it shows the grown-up version of how the @magicalmistermishkins undoubtedly sees himself!

Now, though, it is time to pack and head back down the A14 towards home - and cuddles with the smaller ginger one himself.

We lost our beautiful homebred mare, Rosaliah Gold, this morning. She was 29. She did so much, and meant so much to many. But to us, she was our lovely Rosie Posie, and she was one in a million.

She is pictured here with my dad, showing at the UK International back in the 90s.

Run free, sweet girl. You will be so very much missed. X

Possibly the most incredible feedback I have ever Possibly the most incredible feedback I have ever received:

" I personally, have never read such a fantastic children's book. You are taken on this incredible journey that moves the characters from their worries into a positive and loving headspace."

This came via a friend who bought the books for his friend. I do not know here, nor did I ask for feedback. When this was sent to me last night, I was completely blown away. This feedback truly is the stuff of dreams... Thank you.

Today is Ginger Cat Appreciation Day - and who bet Today is Ginger Cat Appreciation Day - and who better to share today than Mister Mishkins!

This is my story of how Mishkins not only helps children around the world with their fears and worries, but healed my own heart once he arrived in my life.

Happy Ginger Cat Day, Mister M! You are truly one in a million 🐈

It is time to say hello to September, the month th It is time to say hello to September, the month that can bring Indian summers, stunning sunsets, glorious moon rises, and the first gentle reminder from nature that letting go of things can be beautiful. It is time for crumpets and crumbles, fluffy socks and Strictly, and a certain nostalgic yearning for new stationery. My mistake - the stationery thing happens every day for me, and my notebook addiction is real! I am trying to use them, honest, but then I see new ones and, well, they have to join my library.

Notebooks aside, what are you looking forward to this month? Let me know your plans.

May your month be filled with joy, whatever that may mean to you.
