Introducing Tom & Jerry - two gorgeous visitors to Introducing Tom & Jerry - two gorgeous visitors to our garden.

What a glorious Bank Holiday it has been, sat outside, listening to the birds. It truly is a privilege to be in the same space, for them to still show off in front of us. This is the fourth or fifth pheasant in our garden, and we settled on Jerry as his name. So the squirrel, rather than Cyril, had to be Tom by default.

There is so much to love about the simple pleasures of life, of nature, going on around you.

Happy Monday, Samantha xx

Ah, Mister Mishkins. Totally chilled, and enjoying Ah, Mister Mishkins. Totally chilled, and enjoying the long weekend. No doubt thinking up the next adventure in his Magical Mister Mishkins series...
I am really enjoying my Scandi-style open sandwich I am really enjoying my Scandi-style open sandwiches right now. The last of the @hempnallvillagebakery seeded sourdough topped with an assortment of delights. Comforting, fresh, delicious. All in all, just right.
Last week, we had a cousin, six-times removed, vis Last week, we had a cousin, six-times removed, visit us from America with her husband. There was only once place we could take them - the @assembly_house in Norwich. With its history and beauty, it was the perfect final stop on their UK tour.

It also gave me a chance to sample the Afternoon Seas - and what a joy it was! The fish goujons were worth of a best chippie award, the salmon and prawns delicious, and the cheese scone filled with mackerel pate sublime.

My cousin had the Afternoon Cheese, and she declared the scones better than the ones she had in a well-known London store over the weekend!

If you think afternoon tea is not for you, you must visit The Assembly House as they have so much to offer, and cater for dietary requirements with 48 hours notice.

Whether it's cakes, cheese fish, or tea - what's not to love!
April is here, the second quarter of the year. It April is here, the second quarter of the year. It brings sunshine and showers, blustery winds that will eventually warm the skin, Easter promise, lengthening days, nesting birds, apple blossom, a riot of colour as flowers bloom after their winter rest. A month of blossoming, of harmony, and of fresh energy.

For me, April means deadlines, development, and dreams.

Have a wonderful month, my friends.
