My word, what a treat this was! The wonderful @hem My word, what a treat this was! The wonderful @hempnallvillagebakery had their monthly pop up this morning and Hannah steered me towards this triumph - potato dauphinoise in a super crunchy pastry, topped with pecorino plus chives from her garden. I decided to make it more of a complete lunch dish and added a poached egg. Totally different and totally sublime. It would also be amazing with some freshly grated Italian truffle... Thoroughly recommended, as are all Hannah's bakes.

He returns to various catnip toys, left abandoned on the floor, every so often, extracting the very last ounce of the herb within. This mild burst of activity will always be followed with a lengthy nap. Maybe we should all be more cat?

My trusty fountain pen decided to leak today, covering me and my baby pink jumper in black ink. I had the line for a poem in my head, and wanted to get something down before I left the office. I wasn't expecting to also be showered in ink, but it's a hazard I'll happily take. So much to be grateful for this Monday. Even the ink stains on clothes and fingers.
