This page focuses on my journalistic side, and I am very lucky to have been published in a host of publications around the world These include magazines and books dedicated to the Arabian horse, as well as local food magazines with my Delicate Diner hat on.

As explained on my page dedicated to Arabian horses, I own and founded The Arabian Magazine back in 2004 and have, naturally, written a huge number of features for the publication. I have been humbled that some of the biggest Arabian breeding farms in the world have said that my feature is the definitive piece on their programme, including Ses Planes in Mallorca, Rohara Arabians in the United States, and both Saba Arabians and Simeon Stud in Australia. In addition, pieces such as my focus on Thee Desperado have been noted for their depth, accuracy, and passion.

My article on the legendary stallion Thee Desperado.

Through this, I have been able to extend my journalistic skills to other publications including Arabian Essence, Arabian Essence TYPE, Arabian Horse Times Abroad, Arabian Studs and Stallions, Absolute Horse, Prestige Singapore, Desert Heritage, Tutto Arabi, UK Crabbet Journal, Arabian Horse Magazine, and the Arab Horse Society News.

In addition, I have written bespoke pieces for clients around the world, and was invited to contribute to the beautiful limited edition book Padrons Psyche, printed in the United States in 2011.

I have commentated at horse shows both in the UK and abroad, and have also been the compère at open houses in Europe and the Middle East, talking about the Arabian horses as they enter the ring. I have also made presentations and talks about the Arabian horses in Europe and South Africa.

Latterly, my passion for food and writing have combined and I have been able to indulge in this during lockdown with a series of interviews for my website, The Delicate Diner. Called The Norfolk Foodie, this has been a series of in-depth interviews with people at the heart of the local food and drink scene, including Michelin-starred chef Galton Blackiston. Of my feature, he said: “Thank you for a great interview, you got me pretty brilliantly.”

In July 2020, I expanded this series beyond the county of Norfolk to bring in The Delicate Diner meets… series. Again, I love to speak to people about what makes them tick, and to share their passion with the rest of the world.

For two years, from September 2019 to September 2021, I was the food and drink columnist for Norfolk Online. I also worked for Feast Norfolk from August 2019 until July 2021, writing food and travel features for them. Then, from August 2021 to August 2023, I co-founded and ran nourish – the taste of East Anglia, a food, drink and lifestyle magazine for Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge.

I love to write in-depth profile pieces and features that capture the heart of the subject, be it horse breeders, chefs, local producers, or just reflections of life itself within these areas.
